Rehab Medical Expands Texas Presence to Meet Growing Demand for Custom Mobility Services

The Rehab Medical team announced it will add a new office in Houston, Texas, located at 1291 N. Post Oak Road Suite 100 Houston, TX 77055.

The company already serves Texans in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. With the addition of the Houston office, residents in the eastern and central regions of the lone star state will now have access to specialized mobility services.

After the Texas government completed its 2024 analysis of Texans living with a disability, it was discovered more than 3.5 million residents are grappling with a disability. Furthermore, Houston is home to the largest population of Texans living with a disability, indicating more than 760,000 suffer from an ambulatory decline, cognitive decline, or a combination of both physical and mental declines. Given 3.5 million Texans are in need of mobility services, the company prioritized its expansion in the lone star state; hence, opening this Houston office just three months after opening its Dallas office.

“The addition of our Houston location continues the strong trend of growth throughout the state of Texas,” said Kenneth Flaming, Rehab Medical’s regional vice president of sales. “We've seen tremendous success serving other markets in Texas and know this growth is largely predicated on the success of nearby markets in the state.”

Rehab Medical creates mobility freedom for wheelchair users by offering tailored Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) solutions designed to meet the unique needs of each patient. Leading the sales side of the Houston location will be Sales Manager and Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) Reece Hall.

“After serving the Austin market for the past three years, Reece Hall was promoted to manage the Houston location,” said Flaming. “Reece has been a top performer and has an unrelenting dedication to helping his community.”

Leading the operations side of the Houston location will be Branch Manager Dawn Lockett.

“Dawn Lockett will be the branch manager of this location and comes from a strong background of management experience,” said Ryan Weinrich, Rehab Medical’s senior director of field operations. “With Dawn and Director of Field Operations Mark Herman's combined leadership, I know this team will help amplify the success of the Houston location to continuously exceed expectations. We could not be more excited to help support the sales team in their efforts to continue to expand the Texas market.”

In addition to these leaders, the company has already staffed four employees and is looking to fill at least three additional roles. With the company’s rapid growth, its anticipated that this new office will add to Houston’s 2.4 percent job gain rate.

The Houston office is the fourth of Rehab Medical’s planned territory expansions for the 2024 calendar year.
